Basketball Recap: Warren County Takes a Loss

If Warren County was riding high fresh off their 73-52 takedown of Treutlen on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Screaming Devils fell 67-56 to the Hancock Central Bulldogs on Saturday. The Screaming Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Josiah Ingram had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up 24 points for Hancock Central. The matchup was Ingram's third in a row with at least 21 points. Jace Glover was another key player, posting ten points.

Warren County's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Hancock Central, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Warren County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-63 defeat against Greene County on the 16th. As for Hancock Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-50 win against Jasper County on the 16th.
