Recap: Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers vs. New London-Spicer Wildcats
The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-66 win over New London-Spicer. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Charlie Hanson, who scored 22 points. Jack Kehoe was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for New London-Spicer, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta will face off against Lac qui Parle Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for New London-Spicer, they will head out on the road to face off against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
