Basketball Game Preview: Paragould Rams vs. Cabot Panthers

The Paragould Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Cabot Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paragould has given up an average of 51.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Paragould took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Westside by a score of 70-61. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, the stars were shining brightly for Cabot in a 52-34 victory over Batesville on Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Pioneers are ranked 222nd).

Cabot's win ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-6. As for Paragould, their record is now 5-2.

Paragould was taken down by Cabot 65-33 in their previous matchup back in December of 2018. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
