Lemon Bay proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Babcock Trailblazers 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Manta Rays sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lemon Bay was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 21-25, 20-25, 25-9, 15-13.

Grace Wear paced Lemon Bay's offense, picking up 12 kills. Wear got some help from Evelyn Swidrak and her 28 assists. Wear and Swidrak didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with five apiece.

Despite the loss, Babcock still got an impressive performance from Talia Matten, who had 14 digs and one assist.

Lemon Bay's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Babcock, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Lemon Bay has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against DeSoto County on the 26th. As for Babcock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Lake Placid on the 26th.
