Basketball Game Preview: Riverton Parke Panthers vs. North Putnam Cougars

Riverton Parke is 1-9 against North Putnam since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers challenge the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Riverton Parke is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 74-58 to North Vermillion. The Panthers were down 63-40 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, North Putnam came up short against South Putnam on Thursday and fell 55-42. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Riverton Parke, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Riverton Parke might still be hurting after the 82-57 loss they got from North Putnam in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Riverton Parke avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
