Recap: Frontier Falcons vs. Clinton Prairie Gophers
The Frontier Falcons pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clinton Prairie. Frontier has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Frontier still got an impressive performance from Madyson Mears, who scored three points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Mears has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gabi Noe, who scored seven points.
Clinton Prairie can attribute much of their success to Abbey Swan, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Emma Nash was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Frontier's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Clinton Prairie, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-16.
Frontier will head out on the road to face off against North White at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully North White focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 two weeks ago. Clinton Prairie will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Covington at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Covington is ranked 321st, while Clinton Prairie is ranked 300th).
