Norris had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 108-37 win over the Waverly Vikings. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 67-24.

Norris got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Garner Jr. out in front who shot 91% from the field to rack up 23 points. Garner Jr. is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Macoy Folkerts was another key player, going 6-for-9 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points.

Norris was working as a unit and finished the game with 33 assists. They racked up 20 more assists than Waverly's also-impressive total of 13.

When it comes to explaining why Waverly lost, don't look at Brockston Teply. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points.

Norris didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-73 loss against Bellevue West on the 5th. As for Waverly, they will host Elkhorn at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
