Softball Recap: Credo Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Credo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Potter Valley Bearcats 16-6 on Tuesday. The Gryphon might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Ella Larsen-Dunn, who fired off three triples, five RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Miela Beeton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Credo's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.7 runs over those games. As for Potter Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Credo will square off against Calistoga at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.9 runs per game on average), something the Gryphon will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Potter Valley, they will challenge Laytonville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups.
