Football Recap: Lakeview Takes a Loss

Lakeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 21-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sharpsville Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sailors of the 34-15 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Sharpsville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Lakeview will look to defend their home field on Friday against Greenville at 7:00 p.m. The Trojans will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Sailors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sharpsville, they are taking a road trip to take on Mercer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
