Softball Recap: Barnum Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

Barnum hadn't done well against Cherry recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bombers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 7-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Bombers sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

The result came thanks to Alizondra Collelo's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Makenna Ziesmer was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Rudloff, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Barnum's record is now 18-2. As for Cherry, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

As of now, neither Barnum nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
