Basketball Recap: Tri-Cities Skates Past North Clayton with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri-Cities). They blew past the North Clayton Eagles, posting a 68-27 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Tri-Cities was led to victory by Hannah Morris and Alyssia Bandele. Morris went 5 of 6 on her way to 12 points along with seven boards and four steals, while Bandele went 6 for 12 en route to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Those four steals gave Morris a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Shelton, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Tri-Cities was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Tri-Cities has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for North Clayton, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Tri-Cities wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-35 victory against Northside on the 27th. As for North Clayton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-38 defeat against LaGrange on the 27th.
