Basketball Recap: Grandview Prep Takes a Loss

Grandview Prep has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 61-54 to the Olympic Heights Lions on Tuesday. While the Pride didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 20-11 in the first quarter.

Jake Harbatkin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Olympic Heights, going 14 for 20 en route to 33 points and seven boards. Harbatkin's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Schwartz, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points.

Grandview Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Olympic Heights, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Grandview Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Olympic Heights, they and Jupiter will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Jupiter has won nine straight at home, while Olympic Heights won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
