Soccer Recap: Lewisburg Takes Down Ranked Hernando

On Thursday, Lewisburg faced Hernando in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lewisburg Patriots walked away with a 3-1 win over the Hernando Tigers. The Patriots better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Henry Gaschk, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Lewisburg is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Hernando, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 11-4-1 record.

Lewisburg has already played their next contest (against DeSoto Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hernando will face off against Horn Lake at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
