Centennial has gone 9-1 against Roosevelt recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Centennial Huskies will head out to take on the Roosevelt Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Centennial sitting on four straight wins and Roosevelt on 18.

Centennial is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Norco: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Centennial blew Norco out of the water with an 85-28 final score. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Cougars are ranked 698th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Santiago 95-43. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Centennial better keep an eye on Brayden Burries. He was instrumental in Roosevelt's win, shooting 4-for-5 from long range and dropping a double-double on 43 points and ten boards. Burries has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. Myles Walker was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 14 points along with five assists and five steals.

Roosevelt was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 20 assists in four consecutive contests.

Centennial's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-13. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.5 points per game. As for Roosevelt, their record now sits at 22-1.

Centennial came up short against Roosevelt when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 63-50. Can Centennial avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
