Volleyball Recap: Sommer Ginn and Journey Nicola Secure Win for Meadowbrook

Meadowbrook won the last time they faced Philo and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Colts blew past the Electrics 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Meadowbrook took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-13, 25-11.

Meadowbrook was led to victory by Journey Nicola and Sommer Ginn. Nicola had 20 digs and two assists, while Ginn had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces Ginn has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Meadowbrook was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Philo only served one ace.

Meadowbrook now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Philo, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Meadowbrook is set to face off against their familiar foe Sheridan at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Philo will take on rival River View at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
