Volleyball Recap: Coral Springs Comes Up Short

Coral Springs managed to slip by West Broward the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Colts lost 3-0 to the Bobcats on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Colts have suffered since March 4th.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: West Broward scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-20.

Joel Jobi paced Coral Springs' offense, picking up nine kills. Jobi got some help from Mickinson Jean-Mary and his 18 assists. Jobi was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Coral Springs and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for West Broward, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 9-5.

Coral Springs has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Monarch on the 14th. As for West Broward, they will be playing at home against South Plantation at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
