Softball Recap: Point Arena Pirates vs. South Fork Cubs        
        
		
            
 Point Arena and South Fork squared off in some playoff action  on Tuesday, but Point Arena had to settle for second. They lost  12-2 to the South Fork Cubs. Point Arena was red-hot at the plate headed into the  game (they scored no less than ten  runs in the seven  contests prior) but South Fork's pitcher proved too tough.
  Alexa Ferreyra made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and a  run. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times she's  played.
 On South Fork's side,  Makenzie Brewer was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Mackenzie Coleman, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Point Arena's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for South Fork, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record  this season.
 Point Arena does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Fork, they will head out on the road to  challenge  California School for the Deaf at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. California School for the Deaf is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 16.2  runs per game  this season.
