Basketball Recap: Leslie County Comes Up Short

Leslie County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs 65-34. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Leslie County's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Hazard, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leslie County will head out to challenge Bell County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hazard, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lawrence County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lawrence County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hazard surely won't give up without a fight.
