Softball Game Preview: Sidney Yellowjackets vs. Butler Aviators

Sidney is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Butler a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Sidney Yellowjackets will host the Butler Aviators at 5:00 p.m. Sidney has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sidney lost 26-3 to Beavercreek on Tuesday.

Ivy Roberts was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Brooklyn Woolum was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Butler came up short against Northmont on Tuesday and fell 11-8.

Jami Brockert made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Brock, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Sidney's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Butler, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Butler's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sidney hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. It's a different story for Butler, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Sidney's hitters?
