Avalon extended the longest winning streak in Coastal (8 Man) this week by beating Rolling Hills Prep, 54-18. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Avalon's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jose Cervantes has thrown for 212 yards and one touchdown this season, while Juan Carlos Murillo has seven catches for 125 yards. Cervantes also leads the league in rushing with 485 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Avalon takes on Price. At the moment, Earl Schrader's team is in first, while the Knights are in third.
Hope Centre led Coastal (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 58 points on Liberty Christian.
