Having struggled with six losses in a row, Everett turned things around against Sexton on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 27-25 win over the J-Dubbs. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Meanwhile, Waverly beat Olivet 45-36 on Thursday.

Waverly's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Everett, the win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 3-17.

Everett was taken down by Waverly 63-18 in their previous meeting on Tuesday. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
