Softball Recap: Lutheran Crusaders vs. Rock Falls Rockets
Lutheran lost against Rock Falls back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lutheran Crusaders fell just short of the Rock Falls Rockets by a score of 5-3. Lutheran has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Rock Falls' part, Maddison Morgan was excellent, going 2-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Osborne, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Rock Falls, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran will take on Stillman Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rock Falls, they will head out on the road to square off against Dixon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixon is on a four-game streak of home losses, Rock Falls a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
