Preview: Swan Valley Vikings vs. Birch Run Panthers
Swan Valley is 5-0 against Birch Run since September of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Swan Valley Vikings will be playing at home against the Birch Run Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
After a string of three wins, Swan Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bullock Creek.
Despite their defeat, Swan Valley saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Colton Klein, who threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Cal Delisle, who picked up 46 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Birch Run came up short against Millington on Friday and fell 18-9. Birch Run has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Swan Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Birch Run, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Swan Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Birch Run in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 14-10 victory.
