Joseph Vega leads a balanced attack to beat Horeb Christian

Recap: Archimedean vs. Horeb Christian Mustangs
Archimedean's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 35-26 victory over Horeb Christian. The win was just what Archimedean needed coming off of a 89-40 defeat in their prior contest.
Archimedean's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joseph Vega, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Vega has scored at least a third of Archimedean's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Johan Basulto, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
Archimedean's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Horeb Christian, they bumped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archimedean will take on Greater Miami Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Horeb Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Marathon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Marathon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Wednesday.
