Flag Football Recap: Bell Gardens Comes Up Short

Bell Gardens had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 3-6 to make it eight. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 13-12 to the Montebello Oilers. If the Lancers were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Oilers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Montebello, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.8 points on average over those games.

Bell Gardens has already played their next matchup, a 13-0 victory against Mark Keppel on the 24th. As for Montebello, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-6 loss against Schurr on the 24th.
