Baseball Recap: North Iredell Comes Up Short

North Iredell blew East Lincoln out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday East Lincoln got their revenge. The Raiders fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

North Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for East Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Iredell will take on Statesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders are facing the Greyhounds at the right time seeing as the Greyhounds are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for East Lincoln, they will square off against St. Stephens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
