Basketball Recap: Grafton Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Grafton posted their closest victory since January 26, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Tabb Tigers out 57-54. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 77-62 back in December of 2024.

Elijah Tisdale was the offensive standout of the game as he went 8 of 15 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. Malaki Battle was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Grafton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Tabb still got an impressive performance from James Mueller, who posted 16 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Marbra, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Grafton pushed their record up to 7-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Tabb, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Grafton has already played their next contest, a 64-56 victory against Great Bridge on the 1st. As for Tabb, they will head out on the road to take on Poquoson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tabb is facing Poquoson at the right time seeing as Poquoson is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
