Silver Creek waltzed into their game on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They put the hurt on the Washington Hatchets with a sharp 21-2 win. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by eight runs or more this season.

Hudson Garten looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Jerron Miles was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Conner Burns was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double.

Silver Creek's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Washington, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-9.

Silver Creek wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against Brownstown Central on the 19th. As for Washington, they will host Gibson Southern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hatchets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
