After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bullitt Central, Atherton was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Waggener Wildcats get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for Atherton, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Atherton's victory bumped their record up to 8-6-1. As for Waggener, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-2.

Coming up, Atherton will face off against Moore at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Atherton will be up against Moore's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Waggener, they will welcome Holy Cross at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
