Basketball Recap: South Windsor Comes Up Short

South Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 75-59 to the Glastonbury Guardians. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Guardians from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

David Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Glastonbury, going 19 for 27 on his way to 44 points and six rebounds. Smith's evening made it 16 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mike Carroll, who posted five points along with five assists and five steals.

South Windsor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Glastonbury, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

South Windsor has already played their next match (against E.O. Smith/Tolland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Glastonbury will face off against Manchester at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
