Baseball Game Preview: Nova Titans vs. Pine Crest Panthers

The Nova Titans will take on the Pine Crest Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pine Crest took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Nova, who comes in off a win.

Nova barely beat Pompano Beach the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Titans were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Golden Tornadoes on Tuesday. The Titans have beaten the Golden Tornadoes the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Golden Tornadoes has come to flipping the script.

Eli Steckler was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Musa Adeoye, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pine Crest duked it out with Chaminade-Madonna on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Lions, falling 11-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Pine Crest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max McCawley, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Nova now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pine Crest, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Nova's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Titans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game.
