Softball Recap: Hanford West Takes a Loss

Hanford West fell victim to Clovis North and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Broncos, falling 8-0. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost three in a row.

Hanford West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Luna, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Hanford West's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Clovis North, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-2 record this season.

Hanford West will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Scots have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Clovis North, they will welcome Buchanan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
