Soccer Game Preview: Riverton/Tri-City vs. Olympia

Riverton/Tri-City is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Wednesday. They will be playing at home against the Olympia Spartans at 4:30 p.m.

While Riverton/Tri-City's win against Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks' defense stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. Riverton/Tri-City wouldn't have won without Stevi Fuess, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Olympia was forced to settle for a draw. They and Meridian/Sangamon Valley finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Friday.

The victory made it two in a row for Riverton/Tri-City and bumps their season record up to 2-4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. With that draw, Olympia's record moves to 2-3-1.
