Humboldt had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the St. Paul Indians by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cubs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Humboldt easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-14.
Ricklyn Hillmon paced Humboldt's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hillmon got some help from Bailey Daniels and her 13 assists. Skylar Hottenstein controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Humboldt's record is now 20-7. As for St. Paul, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
Coincidentally, Humboldt and St. Paul will both be playing Riverton the next time they take the court. The Indians will host the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cubs will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
