Basketball Recap: McClintock Takes a Loss

McClintock played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Millennium Tigers 69-31. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.

When it comes to explaining why McClintock lost, don't look at Kamari Roddy. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

Millennium was led to victory by Destiny Lunan and Dashia Richardson. Lunan posted 20 points in addition to six boards and six steals, while Richardson went 5 of 11 on her way to 14 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Lunan is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayda Hunt, who had five points and seven boards.

This is the second loss in a row for McClintock and nudges their season record down to 10-6. As for Millennium, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

McClintock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-18 win against Metro Tech on the 17th. Millennium has also already played their next contest, a 65-53 defeat against Salpointe Catholic on the 18th.
