Baseball Recap: Three Straight Road Wins for Lake

Lake had won three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 9-3 to make it four. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Swanton Bulldogs. The Flyers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

As for Swanton, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

For Swanton's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew LaPoint, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Lake and Swanton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Flyers will square off against Rossford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (219 vs. 647). Meanwhile, Swanton (ranked 51st) will meet Delta (ranked 306th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
