Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

Santa Fe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-1 to the Grants Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-4 on Monday.

Santa Fe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Armijo, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Grants, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Santa Fe will welcome Deming at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grants, they will take on Farmington in a tournament on Thursday. One thing working in Grants' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
