Basketball Recap: Forest Area Warriors vs. Inland Lakes Bulldogs

The Forest Area Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 51-33 fall against Inland Lakes. Forest Area has struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as their game on Wednesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Inland Lakes got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Schoonmaker out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Schoonmaker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aidan Fenstermaker, who scored 16 points along with six steals.

Forest Area has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Inland Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Forest Area will head out on the road to square off against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Inland Lakes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pellston is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
