Softball Recap: Hiawatha Takes a Loss

After soaring to 24 runs the game before, Hiawatha was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They lost 9-1 to the Earlville Red Raiders. The Hawks have struggled against the Red Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Hiawatha's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Earlville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Earlville beat Hiawatha by a score of 8-1 later that day.
