Preview: Franklin-Simpson vs. Russellville
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Franklin-Simpson. They will take on Russellville at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Russellville will need to watch out since Franklin-Simpson have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
Franklin-Simpson might be getting used to good results now that the squad has six wins in a row. They steamrollered Warren East 47-0. Followers of Franklin-Simpson probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected seven blowout victories.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Fulton City two weeks ago, Russellville came back down to earth. Last Friday, Russellville lost to Crittenden County by a decisive 12-28 margin. Russellville were down by 6-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Franklin-Simpson took the matchup and then some with a 55-6 win over Russellville the last time the two teams met. Will Franklin-Simpson repeat their success, or does Russellville have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
