Baseball Game Preview: Villa Madonna Vikings vs. Boone County Rebels

Villa Madonna is 0-3 against Boone County since March of 2023 but things could change on Wednesday. The Vikings will take on the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. Villa Madonna will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Villa Madonna had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Dayton on Tuesday. The Vikings never let the Greendevils get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. That looming 16-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Vikings yet this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Boone County's offense. They fell just short of Scott by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Boone County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dakota Daniels, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Boone County's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Villa Madonna, their win bumped their record up to 16-12-1.
