Archbishop Mitty is 8-2 against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Last Friday, it was close, but Archbishop Mitty sidestepped Archbishop Riordan for a 4-3 win.

The team relied heavily on Grayson Munoz, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Waylon Walsh, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory came up short against St. Ignatius College Preparatory on Saturday and fell 6-3.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Santino Baisman, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Archbishop Mitty's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Archbishop Mitty was able to grind out a solid win over Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 9-5.
