After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shallowater, Canadian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed by the Friona Chieftans at home to the tune of 63-14. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Slayden Dickinson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Canadian's defense and their eight sacks. Nehemiah Harris was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself. Another thorn in Friona's side was Wyatt Davis, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Canadian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Friona, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-8.
