            Baseball Preview: Cresskill Cougars vs. Ridgefield Park Scarlets        
        
		
        
        
            The Cresskill Cougars will head out to  square off against the Ridgefield Park Scarlets  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Cresskill has given up an average of 6.6  runs per game this season, but Saturday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Cresskill is probably headed into the  contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Midland Park just ended the team's  three-game winning streak  on Friday. They took  an  11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.
 Tyler Manarang was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  four innings while giving up  three earned  (and four unearned) runs off   four  hits. That's the fewest  earned runs  he has allowed since April 1st. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base. That  home run marked the first that  he has  launched this season.
 In other batting news,  Luke Kopczynski was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs.
Meanwhile,  after a string of five wins, Ridgefield Park's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They fell  12-8 to Indian Hills.
  Emmanuel Paula Ruiz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-5 with two  runs and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Ryan Lewis, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
 Ridgefield Park's record is now 9-6. As for Cresskill, their  loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-5-1.
