Basketball Game Preview: Fairfield Indians vs. Sycamore Aviators

The Fairfield Indians will challenge the Sycamore Aviators at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairfield is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-19, which was the final score in Fairfield's tilt against Princeton on Friday. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Sycamore was able to grind out a solid win over Oak Hills on Saturday, taking the game 52-45.

Sycamore has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything went Fairfield's way against Sycamore when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Fairfield made off with a 50-30 victory. Does Fairfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sycamore turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
