Baseball Recap: Orem's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Orem can now relate to. They came up short against the Brighton Bengals on Tuesday, falling 8-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Orem saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Merrick Bostock, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Orem moved to 19-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Brighton, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-3.

Looking ahead, Orem will take on Salem Hills at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Skyhawks have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. Brighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
