Softball Recap: Eldred Takes a Loss

Eldred was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Chester Hambletonians, falling 16-1. The game marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Eldred saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Furler, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Furler has hit this season.

Eldred's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Chester, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Eldred and Chester will both be playing Tri-Valley the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will head out to face the Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hambletonians will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
