Softball Game Preview: East Troy Trojans vs. Whitewater Whippets

For the second straight game, East Troy will face off against Whitewater. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Whippets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Troy has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Troy is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Whitewater, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered against the Whippets since April 26, 2018.

For Whitewater's part, Sydney Schilt and Falyn Krahn did most of the damage at the plate: Schilt went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Krahn went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three hits gave Krahn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Marianna Kubicz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Whitewater always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

East Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Whitewater, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
