Soccer Recap: Maryville Comes Up Short

Maryville lost against Bearden back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Rebels fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Maryville's goal came courtesy of Joshua Maldanado Costas, who's now up to nine this season.

Maryville's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7-2. As for Bearden, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-1-1.

Maryville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bearden, they will square off against Hardin Valley Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hardin Valley Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Bearden surely won't give up without a fight.
