Soccer Game Preview: Strayhorn vs. Independence

Strayhorn has gone a perfect 10-0 against Independence recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home pitch against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Strayhorn will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Strayhorn proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat Vardaman by a goal, winning 4-3. Strayhorn wouldn't have won without Sarabeth Brauer, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Independence fell victim to Cleveland Central and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to Wolves. Independence have struggled against Cleveland Central recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Strayhorn, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Strayhorn got the 'W' in their previous meeting on Thursday against Independence by a conclusive 8-1 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
